Ridgewood Storm

The following video was recorded after a tornado passed through on Thursday, September 16, 2010 on Woodbine ST in Ridgewood Queens NY.

National Weather Service said the first EF0 tornado touched down in Park Slope, Brooklyn with winds around 80 mph after 5 p.m on thursday and traveled 2 miles northeast.

The second EF1 tornado is said to have touched down about 2.5 miles south of Flushing, Queens and traveled north to Bayside with winds of up to 100 mph. Middle Village, Forest Hills, Queens were said to be the neighborhoods hit hardest.

Their was also a macroburst, sudden acceleration of wind came out of the fast-moving storm and was more than 2.5 miles long winds up to 125 mph created the most damage in Queens, moving through Forest Hills and Middle Village.
